Futurebuilders England Tender Fund

1 min read
What it is: Futurebuilders England has launched an interest-free loan fund for voluntary sector organisations struggling to meet the cost of tendering for public sector contracts.

Futurebuilders England is funded by the Office of the Third Sector in the Cabinet Office.

How much is on offer: The fund has £1m available on a first-come, first-served basis. Organisations can apply for anything from £3,000 to £50,000 depending on the size of the contract involved. The loan is interest free provided it is repaid within three years.

What it will fund: The tender fund will help voluntary sector providers win contracts where the cost of putting together a proposal would otherwise make it difficult for them to bid.

Who can apply: The fund applies to England and is open to any voluntary and community organisations, charities and social enterprises. Anyone applying must be preparing to tender for a specific public service contract, be unable to secure a loan from a commercial lender, be reasonably likely to win the tender, be able to repay the loan and be working to benefit service users.
