Small Organisations Tender Fund

What is it? It's to help small third sector organisations win tenders to run public services or build their capacity to bid for contracts. The fund is a joint project of Futurebuilders England and the National Programme for Third Sector Commissioning.

How much is on offer? A limited pot of £220,000. Grants will be offered for up to 10 per cent of a contract value, with a maximum of £15,000. Contracts being bid for must be worth at least £30,000.

What will it fund? It's intended to finance tendering costs or capacity building work such as legal costs, advice from procurement specialists, financial expertise and staff costs.

Who can apply? Charities or social enterprises that have been trading for a least one year, and have an annual turnover under £250,000. There is no closing date and most of the application process will be carried out by phone.
