The 3m Challenge Fund, set up in 2001, provides grants of between 20,000 and 50,000, mainly for voluntary and community groups addressing the needs of refugee communities.
Last year, 2m was awarded to 43 projects across the UK, including a number of schemes focusing on children.
Applications are welcomed from organisations aiming schemes at those with full refugee status or leave to remain in the UK, and an emphasis is given to projects that will help refugees develop their potential and integrate with society.
The other fund, the European Refugee Fund, has a budget of 7.5m, 70 per cent of which is set aside for projects relating to voluntary assisted return. Proposals are invited for integration projects, particularly those relating to young people, and the fund will provide grants of up to 50 per cent of a project's cost.
