The Housing Associations' Charitable Trust (Hact) is asking voluntary and community groups and housing associations in England to bid for a share of 50,000 to develop multi-agency partnerships.
Groups have until the end of July to apply for 10 grants of 5,000 in the first phase of the Accommodate project, with a further 250,000 available to develop five schemes in phase two.
Devan Kanthasamy, Hact's refugee housing partnership facilitator, said: "It is an innovative way of approaching the refugee housing issue by linking local voluntary and community organisations."
He said Hact was keen to hear from groups that wanted to work with unaccompanied refugee children: "Unaccompanied minors have specific needs. We'd like a project that looks at how different agencies can come together and support them in a practical way.
