Its First Light initiative allows five- to 18-year-olds to make shortfilms under the guidance of professional film-makers.
Funding of 140,000 of lottery money was awarded earlier thismonth to 28 projects for producing digital short films.
Children and young people from London, Lewes, Newcastle-upon-Tyne andLiverpool will learn directing, scriptwriting, production, acting, soundand lighting skills.
"We receive a lot of applications for issue-based films but are verykeen on creativity so the idea must be strong," said First Lightspokesman Keith Gabriel.
"Film experience helps but we take applications from schools and youthclubs as well as media groups. If you lack experience we will send afilm-making mentor along to help."
