There will be 157.5m for projects in England, with nearly 80m going to existing initiatives including out-of-school sports, extended schools and summer camps. More than 77m has been set aside for new applications from groups working with 11- to 18-year-olds.
This will be distributed via three funding strands, with 10m in grants of 250 to 5,000 to help individuals and small group-run community projects suggested by young people. A total of 40m will go to voluntary and community organisations and charities via the Big Lottery Fund's regional offices.
There will be a two-stage application process for grants of between 5,000 and 150,000. National organisations will be able to apply for a share of 27.6m. Applications will first be considered by a panel that will include young people.
