The Big Lottery Fund's Change UR Future programme will distribute 10.8m to projects aimed at improving the health and wellbeing ofchildren and young people aged up to 25.
Grants of up to 500,000 are to be made available to projects thathope to tackle concerns as diverse as bullying and addiction through toactivities such as outdoor pursuits and training.
The Big Lottery Fund has consulted with young people over the types ofproject they would most like to see funded. Big Lottery Fund NorthernIreland board member Paul Cavanagh said: "We want to fund projects thathelp young people stay safe, be healthy, contribute to their community,enjoy themselves and overcome economic disadvantage."
