Divert, which works with young drug addicts to tackle the underlying causes of their addiction, will get just under 335,000 from the New Opportunities Fund.
And a pilot arrest referral scheme to offer advice, support and treatment to young drug addicts when they are taken into custody has been given 128,000 by the Scottish Executive.
It is hoped that both schemes will help reduce the number of young offenders returning to crime and improve community safety in the region.
The voluntary arrest referral scheme, which will start in the autumn in three areas, has been developed by North Lanarkshire Council with South Lanarkshire Council, local police, Lanarkshire Alcohol and Drug Action Team, the Procurator Fiscal Service and Sacro.
