The 3m campaign, which is run by 4Children and supported by the Nestle Trust, aims to create a network of 3,000 out-of-school clubs for young people aged 11 to 16.
There are 740 member clubs so far and 4Children is launching a major membership drive. Membership is free and gives clubs access to support including a dedicated helpline, training and funding.
Clubs are asked to work towards criteria including providing a chill-out space where young people can relax, access to activities such as sport and arts, and a quiet zone where they can study.
Laura Funnell, head of Make Space, said: "Research consistently shows that young people don't have access to what they want - a place just for them, with activities, and where they can be with friends. Make Space is meeting these demands head-on."
