Funding Watch: Mental health funding partners announced

The development of a strategy to ensure young people in London have access to mental health services is one of the first projects to be supported by a new funding programme.

The Project for Advocacy Counselling and Education (Pace) will developthe strategy after gaining 150,000 over two to three years fromthe King's Fund's latest funding stream. The organisation is one of fouraward partners announced by the King's Fund, an independent charitablefoundation, which works for better health, especially in London.

Mind in Croydon also gained 150,000 to provide an advocacyservice to support parents with mental health problems.

The funding stream, which encompasses mental health advocacy andend-of-life care, is part of a three-year, 3m funding anddevelopment programme, Partners for Health in London.

The deadline for the next round of funding for projects around mentalhealth and sexual health is 24 February. Applications for researchprojects around integrated health are due by 7 April.
