Funding Watch: Fund for Young People and Alcohol

1 min read

What is it? The Comic Relief Fund for Young People and Alcohol provides grants to voluntary and community organisations in the UK that support young people aged 11-25 who drink excessive or dangerous amounts of alcohol.
It aims to fund services that create awareness of the dangers of alcohol and reduce young people's drinking.

How much is on offer? Grants usually vary between £25,000 and £40,000 and can pay for all or some of a project's costs. However, applicants are encouraged to obtain some funding from other sources.

What will it fund? Projects that can demonstrate how their work will help deliver at least one of the following: a reduction in young people's alcohol consumption; closer working relationships between alcohol services and young people's services; a reduction in harm and increased access to help for young people with alcohol problems; and an increase in relevant skills to deliver targeted services to young people with alcohol problems.
