Funding: Voluntary sector has Treasury talks

Voluntary sector organisations met Government officials last week to feed into the Treasury's 10-year review of children and young people's services.

Representatives from Rainer, YouthNet, the British Youth Council, the Foyer Federation, the Scout Association, St Christopher's Fellowship, the YMCA and NCVYS attended the meeting at HM Treasury, which was also designed to feed into the Government's review of the role of the third sector in social and economic regeneration.

Johanna Field, head of policy at the British Youth Council, said: "The day looked at how the third sector can improve youth service delivery and design, and what the public sector can learn from the voluntary sector."
