Free football for after-school clubs

Education
Children in Hertfordshire are being transformed into football champions of the future as a result of after-school activities designed to encourage greater interest in sport.

TopKidz Group Ltd, which operates clubs for children aged from four to 11-years-old, has teamed up with Watford FC to offer professional football training sessions. The daily sessions are offered to all children who attend after-school clubs at no extra cost.

TopKidz's managing director Dupe Balogun said the service provides children with positive role models and improves their behaviour through the discipline that playing sport brings. "It offers opportunities that might not otherwise be available to them," he added.
