Football: National contest for Peterborough

A team of 16 teenagers from Peterborough Young People's Services has taken part in a national football tournament in Great Yarmouth.

More than 90 young people from the Unity Football Club attended trials in February, and the final 16 were selected to take part in an 11-a-side tournament, which was held between 23 May and 26 May.

The club is run by the council's Young People's Services in partnership with Peterborough United FC and brings together young people from different backgrounds and faiths.

Unity won last year's tournament, which was staged in Holland. The project also won the youth work award category at last year's Children & Young People Services Awards.
