FORCES: Connexions-style services for MoD

A recommendation to "Connexionise" information and support services overseas for MoD dependants will be discussed at the Connexions Government Inter-Departmental Steering Group meeting on 19 June.

After the summer parliamentary recess, a joint ministerial conference will take place between armed forces minister Dr Lewis Mooney and the DfES's minister for young people, who is responsible for Connexions.

The Connexions steering group involves representatives from every government department responsible for young people, including the Home Office, health, education and defence.

The British Forces Youth Service provides for children of Forces families at home and abroad. There are 47 Connexions partnerships in England.
