Seven schools from Buckinghamshire, the first council to pilot theInvestors in Families scheme, were last week awarded theaccreditation.
A further 40 local authorities have now expressed interest in the schemeand Luton has already signed up to take part.
"The feedback from the pilot has been very good and we will now takethis forward with other local authorities," said John Grainger,Investors in Families' development manager.
Liz Whetton, deputy head of The Beaconsfield School, the first toreceive accreditation, said: "Working with families is crucial inraising achievement. But more than that, assessment has been beneficialas it looks at schools beyond league tables."
