A spokesman for Milton Keynes council said: "Education standards in Milton Keynes are increasing steadily. At all stages our children continue to make progress in their SAT exams and Key Stages 1 to 3, and we continue to break local records for GCSEs and A-levels. This year a record number of pupils went to university, including Oxford and Cambridge."
