I attend two projects at the Shoebury Youth Centre — the Motor Project and Club Inclusion. I first heard about the Motor Project from a friend when I was 12 and have been going ever since. It teaches young people the basics of maintaining and servicing cars. I've really enjoyed it and the activities helped me to prepare for my driving theory test.
When I started my Duke of Edinburgh's Award, one of the youth workers told me that I could do my service section at the centre and I have been helping out for a few years now. I like making a difference — it's nice to see someone walk away with a smile on their face.
