The charity surveyed London's boroughs and found only half alwaysconsult disabled young people from the outset in decisions made abouttheir lives. The remainder "sometimes consult".
The survey also revealed "some professionals still believe disabledyoung people do not have a view", but discovered enthusiasm forimproving practice.
Parul Begum, programme manager for The Children's Society's DisabilityAdvocacy Project, said: "This survey clearly demonstrates the need for amulti-agency approach to involving disabled young people in decisionsabout their lives."
A spokesman for London Councils said: "Every borough has aresponsibility and is working to ensure every member of the communityhas a voice and is involved in issues affecting them."
