Funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Families, the Makingit Happen project will be led by three disabled young people's championsalong with charity staff. Workshops will share examples of how agenciesare involving disabled children in strategic planning, provide resourcesto support participation and help produce action plans.
James Doyle, disabled young people's champion at the charity's SharedCare Solihull project, said: "I am keen to show to local authoritiesthat disabled children and young people can, and are, contributingmembers of society. I feel well able to work with and represent mypeers."
