Our Year 10 maths class was the winner of a Teach First and HSBC competition, and was given the opportunity to spend an afternoon at HSBC's headquarters in Canary Wharf.

Our class had to compete in a trading game, and the highest score was submitted for the competition. When we found out we had won, we were very proud of ourselves.

The day at HSBC was very enjoyable. Hearing what the staff had to say was an interesting part of the day. I learned a lot from them and it also made me think about my own career path.

Even though I enjoyed the trading game, I don't think it was for me, but I would love to work for HSBC one day. I could see myself working in a human resources role because I feel my personality would suit the job.
