
I enjoyed the competition process; expressing my ideas and taking part in a challenging interview.
I've had a good education, but not everyone has been so lucky. I entered this competition to give those pupils a voice and change things so more students can have a positive experience. A shocking 35 per cent of children leave primary school without basic skills in literacy and numeracy. This needs to change and I feel Key Stage 2 SATs that mean teachers cannot be inspirational, children cannot be inspired and schools become obsessed with results, are slowing change. I invite everyone to challenge the system until things change.
