My winning article entitled me to a tour of the BBC Studios, including a visit to Newsround. I met the presenters and gained an insight into how the news is put together. My piece on chinchilla smuggling was an unusual introduction to reporting, but it has encouraged me to consider a career in journalism.
I enjoyed seeing how the law and the media work together to create topical news. I won't forget my time in the mock court or my day at the BBC, and I'm really glad I had the opportunity to get involved.
