
With the end of the financial year fast approaching, CWDC has distributed the first £9m to councils.
A total of £23m is available to local authorities in England through the Social Work Improvement Fund (SWIF). CWDC has now distributed more than £9m.
Local authorities can choose to use their funding as they wish in line with local priorities. These priorities may be identified through using the Social Work Health Check or a similar assessment process. The funding will support employers to:
As part of the support arrangements for SWIF, CWDC has developed a peer network of improvement funding advisers to work with every local authority in England.
