Connexions: Most Connexions partnerships believe brand name will stay

1 min read

The survey, carried out to inform the association's business plan, asked the 47 partnerships to predict the future of their organisation in the run-up to 2008 and beyond.

Of the 36 partnerships that had responded in the week before Christmas, only three predicted that their brand name would be scrapped. For one of these three, this only applied to some branches in specific local authority areas and not to others.

Nearly two-thirds (22 out of 36) of respondents said plans were not yet in place for local authority-led service delivery.

When asked whether they saw a continued need for the association or a similar umbrella organisation, most respondents said yes for 2006-07, but the level of certainty reduced for the following year and beyond 2008.
