Advice and guidance: Connexions optimistic as local transition looms

1 min read

The National Association of Connexions Partners questioned its member organisations on the changes planned for their services over the next two years.

Of the 41 who responded to the anonymous survey, 27 said there were no current plans for their services to be taken "in-house" by local authorities.

Thirty-three said they felt confident that the transition would not have a detrimental effect on young people's services, although three expressed concern that it could.

Thirty-five respondents said they did not predict the Connexions brand disappearing in their area, with just one reporting it was under threat.

In a similar survey carried out at the end of last year, which 36 members replied to, three partnerships predicted that their brand name would be scrapped (YPN, 4-10 January, p2).
