How much is on offer? Each year the foundation expects to make funds of around £6m available. The average grant is likely to be about £45,000, although a significant number of grants are smaller (£5,000 to £30,000), while a few are larger (more than £70,000).
What will it fund? Registered charities, industrial and provident societies and friendly societies. Projects must fit within four aims of the foundation: to improve employment opportunities for disadvantaged people, to promote the inclusion of recent arrivals to the UK, to promote social justice and to strengthen the voluntary and community sector. Applications are prioritised by factors including whether the project has the potential to have a significant impact on policy.
