No matter which agency calls on Sarah, most visitsstart the same way: recapping Sarah's current situation, and confirmingbasic personal information.
It's a frustrating process for both professional and family, but theproblem is that there is currently no way to access this basicinformation without asking Sarah. But if the Government succeeds in itsplans, professionals working in children's services will soon be able toaccess information on any child in the UK quickly and accurately usingthe ContactPoint database, which until recently was called theInformation Sharing Index.
