Ed Miliband would like to make two things clear. Firstly, he is not the minister for local government - his brother David is. Secondly, despite his youthful appearance, he is not chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs because of his age.
Instead, the 35-year-old MP for Doncaster North took on the role last month because he believes youth issues are truly important.
"In my maiden speech in the House of Commons I expressed an interest in youth services, because it became apparent to me from the moment I was selected as a candidate in Doncaster North that it was a very big issue that people felt was unaddressed," he says.
