Policy: Eagle repositioned in minister shuffle

Eagle moves to the Northern Ireland Office, and will be replaced by Parmjit Dhanda, the current MP for Gloucester, and a former assistant whip.

Ed Miliband, the MP for Doncaster North, was appointed as parliamentary secretary for the third sector at the Cabinet Office. His responsibilities are expected to include youth volunteering and the voluntary sector, and he will step down as chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Youth Affairs.

The Prime Minister has created a role of minister for social exclusion at the Cabinet Office. It will be filled by former chief whip Hilary Armstrong.

Pat McFadden becomes parliamentary secretary for social exclusion.
