A young girl I know is a big fan of a famous actor. Aged 13 and livingin a children's home, she'll tell you to f*** off as soon as look atyou, but mention this guy's name and she melts. "Ooh, I love him. Mybiggest dream is to meet him."

One day she asked: "You've both got the same accent, do you know him?""No, of course not," I laughed. The next time she came in we sattogether and she wrote him a letter. "I think you're beautiful and wantto marry you," she wrote. "I dream of being an actress one day and yougive me hope."
