Claire's star-spotting day sets her thinking about sex and the disabled.

I have an unwritten rule when spotting famous people. Leave them be. I have, over the past couple of years, caught sight of people including Vic Reeves and Matthew Kelly. But I've never gone up and said hello.

Recently I came close. Having a coffee at Waterloo Station, I spotted disabled actor Mat Fraser, one of my favourites. I hissed to my friend: "Did you see him - the guy who was in that play on TV last week?" It was about two people with disabilities in love, and getting it on despite public and family pressure. I wanted to tell him how much I enjoyed his work, but I thought he'd think I was an eejit, so I didn't.
