Let's face it, most youth centres look as inviting as a bus shelter on a cold day. And I should know, I've spent too much time in both.
Of course, not every youth centre looks like it's about to be condemned.
Now and again I get to hear all about exciting new-build projects under way across the country. But no-one can deny that there are more than a few clubs out there that could easily be mistaken as earmarked for demolition.
But appearances can be very deceptive. Once you're inside, things usually get much better. Now don't get carried away, I'm not saying Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen would be that impressed with our choice of soft furnishings or what we've done with the coffee bar. But things are definitely getting better.
