Nothing seems to go right for Richard. He was kicked out of home three days after his 16th birthday; he left school without any qualifications to his name and is currently watching wall-to-wall Trisha because he has been asked to stay away from college for a fortnight because of his behaviour.

Richard certainly has issues. But I didn't imagine it would take a chicken tikka masala to discover just how many.

I wasn't really expecting the Khyber Pass restaurant to turn out to be such a good setting for youth work. It was a fundraising night for one of our local voluntary organisations. At a tenner a ticket, with half the proceeds going to a good cause, we thought we'd show our support and take a group of young people along to swell the numbers.
