Whoever coined the phrase "TGI Friday" certainly wasn't a youth worker. While the rest of the world starts winding down for the weekend, youth workers are just getting going. From sleep overs to special events, elections to expeditions, trips to training. You name it, someone somewhere is doing it.

This weekend, we've definitely been doing it. I should know, I'm still trying to recover from a never-ending wait at the taxi rank at Charing Cross station in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Regular readers might remember I told you about plans to take a group of young people away to Amsterdam for the weekend. I went on about how we never seem to go abroad and how I was going to lead by example this time. Just how difficult could all this overseas travel business be?
