According to research, moving home is the most stressful event in life. If that's true, then the second most stressful experience must be moving offices. I'm not talking about one or two people upping sticks and moving to a different room or even a different building. I'm talking about relocating an entire office. People, equipment, the whole lot.

Three or four months ago we were asked to find alternative accommodation for our youth office. At first I was well into moving. It was a new challenge.

And it could be fun.

I thought we would ring round a few estate agents, do a bit of viewing, sign a contract and move into some nice new office in a "much sought after location". Then we just have our meters read and get the Royal Mail to redirect the post. Simple, right?
