I'd like to introduce you to Tom and Jerry. And yes, those are their real names. I first made their acquaintance a fortnight ago down a lane at the back of a youth centre.

It was a Tuesday evening and I was working late. At about 6.30pm one of our youth workers arrived for work concerned about a car she had spotted outside the building. It was parked up with two men sitting inside.

When we went out to investigate, the car had vanished. The plot thickened.

Were we about to be robbed or have one of our members snatched? Or be sold some pills at a "special introductory price"? Either way, we were worried.
