What is a typical day? A typical day doesn't exist, only the brew-making.
Usually, mornings are spent on admin while the afternoons consist of hosting The On Line Project drop-in session for young people. This can be chaotic, with young people looking for advice, information, support, or tea and a chat.
How did you get involved? I was working as a waitress making tea. I knew one day this skill would be of greater benefit, because my boss at the time used to joke about putting a sign above the door saying "Vicky's advice shop". I enjoyed working with people, so I started to volunteer for Wigan Youth Service, where I received training, a lot of encouragement and part-time employment.
