Where does your work take place?

We go to the young person's home or school once we have been contacted about a particular individual. We work on a one-to-one basis with the young person, and on occasions there will be two advisers present. I liaise with many other agencies to offer the best service to the young people in our area.

What impact has the programme had? The initiative has been extremely well received by young people, and this is very encouraging. A particular success was a 14-year-old who, after we resolved the firesetting issue, was able to move on from their other problems, complete an exam and get a job. This is what makes my work worthwhile.
