Inspectors visited schools in 11 English local education authorities (LEAs). They praised the majority for their support in welcoming and accepting young asylum seekers. But Ofsted called on the Government to improve communications with authorities about young asylum seekers and their families.
Sandy Buchan, chief executive of Refugee Action, said LEAs and schools received no extra funding for taking on young refugees, despite many requiring additional support.
