Children's health services in Scotland are set to benefit from a 23m funding package announced by the Scottish Government to improve community health facilities.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran will receive £1.4m to create a community health centre, bringing together a raft of services including family counselling, child and adolescent mental health, dental care and social work.

NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is to gain £2.2m for a children and family centre in the Drumchapel area of the city.

Cabinet Secretary for Health and Wellbeing Nicola Sturgeon said: "This mirrors the Scottish Government's vision of making local services as accessible as possible."
