
They are getting themselves into unnecessary conflict with the police, whereas if the council provided enough activities, such as sports or drama clubs, this would prevent the older generation feeling uncomfortable because of the mass of young people hanging around.
Most teenagers find themselves having to rely on electronic equipment to entertain themselves. This can lead to obesity and it is forecast that half the population of Britain will become seriously overweight in the coming decades. I would make sure every single teenager in the UK did at least one activity at the weekend where they could socialise in a positive way - instead of being a nuisance to the rest of society, as some adults would say.
