The framework aims to create clear opportunities for career progressionin the children's sector. It will also provide recognisablequalifications that would enable employers to recruit staff with theskills they require.
The CWDC plans a unit-based system, which will consist of eight levels,including higher education and professional level qualifications.
Jane Haywood, chief executive of the CWDC, said: "The development of theframework is an extremely positive step in helping improve the status ofthe children's workforce and enabling a certain level of mobilitybetween roles."
