The Children's Workforce Development Council's 2007 Workforce Skills andTraining Survey found more than one third of respondents cannot accessenough money to support essential training and development.
Despite this nine out of 10 respondents agreed or strongly agreedemployers should invest in training their staff, and 72 per cent agreedor strongly agreed individuals should be encouraged to invest in theirown training.
More than half of respondents, 51 per cent, disagreed or stronglydisagreed that it was easy to recruit staff with the rightqualifications. And nearly four out of 10 agreed or strongly agreed thenumber of qualifications available made it difficult to know whichqualifications a practitioner should hold.
