Puppets to be used in science teaching

Education
Characters including Naughty Nora and Discovery Dog are helping to promote science to primary school children across the UK.

The Puppets Project uses a range of different puppets based on animals and humans to help engage children in learning about science.

Teachers are equipped with the puppets and given tips on how to make their puppet's characters believable. They will also receive animated CD- ROMS to help them set up learning conversations about science, including problem-solving challenges for children.

The project was developed after research found that the use of puppets in primary schools had a positive effect on children's learning.
