An inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation praised the level of pride shown by staff at Bracknell Forest Youth Offending Service as one of the key strengths of the service.
The report found safeguarding work to be done well 79 per cent of the time, work to reduce the risk of harm to others 73 per cent of the time and work to reduce the likelihood of reoffending 74 per cent of the time, with the findings described as "encouraging".
However, recommendations for improvements were made on a number of points.
The report calls for more to be done to ensure a good quality assessment and plan has been completed when cases start.
