
A report by the Probation Inspectorate rated both teams above the national average in each of the three main categories of safeguarding, minimising risk and reducing reoffending.
A further inspection in Derby produced “encouraging” findings, the inspectorate said.
In Nottinghamshire, safeguarding aspects of the work were done well enough 78 per cent of the time; work to keep to a minimum each individual’s risk of harm to others was done well enough 73 per cent the time; and the work to reduce the likelihood of reoffending was done well enough 80 per cent of the time.
Among the service strengths was the fact that vulnerability screening was completed in all except one case analysed, was on time in 80 per cent of cases and of sufficient quality in 73 per cent of cases.
