In the December edition of CYP Now: PSHE education; local safeguarding; and mental health support for children in care

The December edition of CYP Now includes a special report on the latest policy, practice and research developments in personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education.

Practice examples featured in the 12-page special report include: a sex education programme for young people with learning disabilities in Cambridgeshire; Girlguiding's peer education scheme; how Medway Council developed a PSHE framework across all schools; and the HENRY healthy eating pre-school programme in Leeds.

The main feature offers 10 tips from experts on what works in communicating the work of children's services; and examples of how to apply the techniques to promoting services, reports and projects.

There is also a double page spread showing images from the 2017 Children & Young People Now Awards, while the December edition includes a complimentary copy of the Book of the Night detailing the work of all the Awards' winners.
