In the February edition of CYP Now: Mental health special; 30 hours childcare; and adoption investigation

February's edition of CYP Now includes expert contributions analysing key implications for policy and practice of the new children's mental health green paper.

The 12-page children's mental health special report also includes practice examples on Birmingham's city-centre drop in service, Pause; specialist therapeutic residential homes run by Cove Care; music-based therapy for in-patients delivered by Music in Mind; and the Right Here support service in Sussex.

Following a drop in the proportion of parents accessing 30 hours free childcare, a panel of early years experts put forward ideas for changes that can be made to improve the scheme's viability.
