Honours recognition for children and youth workforce

Over a hundred individuals have been recognised for their work with children and young people in the New Year Honours List.

Among those named are Jeanette Pugh, director of the safeguarding group at the Department for Children, Schools and Families, who was appointed CB.

Anthony Douglas, chief executive of the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service, was appointed CBE.

And high profile minister the Reverend Nims Obunge was appointed MBE for his youth and community work in Tottenham, London.

Douglas said: "I have worked with so many fantastic people over the years and I know that this award is recognition of the work they have done in delivering quality services for children."
